My expertise / skills : |
Multitemporal Earth Observation for large Areas (e.g. country-scale): - Long-term monitoring of simple and generic land cover Parameter (urban, agriculture, forests, grassland, ...) - Soil information and development of soils since 1984 - Intensity of use of agricultural soils - Mapping of Areas prone to soil Erosion
Imaging Spectroscopy at local scale for soils: - Derivation of soil parameter (soil constituents: organic carbon, ferric oxides, clays and carbonates, ...) - EO-based Input for C/L/S-factor of RUSLE - Terrain Information - Spectroscopic lab measurements
Imaging Spectroscopy at local scale for urban areas: - acquisition of airborne imaging spectroscopy data that allows for the derivation of urban surface materials such as different roof materials, pavement materials, artificial surfaces, Vegetation types and water bodies - urban ecological parameters such as density measures, infiltration rates, structural Information in cities - we have access to the large airborne imaging spectroscopy data Archive of the DLR for many sites in Europe and beyond |

Project description : |
We are looking for a project that requires information about the status and development of a landscape or ecosystem, where the overview about land cover developemnt is important to explain occurrence, outbreak or absence of species. We can process large scale Earth observation data from long-term data archives since 1984 and recent data of the EU Copernicus satellites (Sentinel-2). Our specific areas are 1) soils, agriculture and arid/semiarid areas and 2) urban areas. |
