Project description : |
We are looking for a partner to join our research project of dose assesment of oncology patients. The challenge for the radiobiologists is to extend the scope of applications of biological dosimetry methods to analyze the dose obtained by the individuals, such as patients and personnel, in radiation oncology, nuclear medicine and diagnostic and interventional radiology. Low doses IR, received for a long time (accumulative dose) could cause different chemical and biological effects in cells, tissues and organs after a long time. The detection and assessment of the absorbed doses in onco-hematology and oncology patients after radiotherapy, PET-scan,some radionuclides for therapy and diagnostic, chemotherapy, etc. will support the therapeutic and diagnostic process by eventually early over received dose detection. The early assessment of the over received dose could help to improve the scheme of therapy and to reduce the risk of stochastic effects. The aim the project is to introduce as a routine method of diagnosis the gold standard methods such as dicentric and CBMN formation assay for dose assesment and to research or develop new, inovative methods for dose analysis. We need a partner to optimize the mentioned methods, and colaboartion trainings of the new, inovative methods of analysis used by both partners. |
Networking opportunities : |
We are going to attend in some Bulgaian conferences such as Congress of Prevantive Medecine, Conference of Radiology and eventually in the Seventh International Conference on Radiation in Various Fields of Research (RAD 2019; www.rad2019.rad-conference.org ), etc. |
