I work at the Environmental Biotechnology group at SINTEF where I'm responsible for the sequencing infrastructure as well as bioinformatic pipelines for data analysis of metagenomes, genomes, and transcriptomes. We use sequencing-based tools for the characterization and bioprospecting of microbiomes, including the screening for antimicrobial resistance genes. Our labs are equipped with advanced infrastructure such as e.g., high-throughput screening robotics, Illumina and Oxford Nanopore Technology sequencers, microfermentors and high cell density fermenters, flow-cell systems for biofilm studies, and advanced, high sensitivity mass spectrometry instrumenetation.

Looking for a project to join where we can contribute our expertise on biodiversity characterisation and monitoring using sequencing-based methods. We can also be involved in MS-based detection of emerging pollutants (for the evaluation of ecosystem health).
