I am looking for a project to join
Distinguished Researcher at the University of Burgos. I have worked internationally with Wageningen University & Research and Fraunhofer ISE, contributed to the H2020 FlexiGroBots project, and currently co-lead the AEI-funded CROP360 project. My recent research includes UAV-LiDAR/SfM mapping, AI-based visual monitoring, hyperspectral analysis, IoT sensing and decision-support systems.
Currently, I leading the JRU Drone Technology. Our unit focuses on Earth observation, UAV-based sensing and data-driven methods for monitoring vegetation, land systems and environmental change. We work with satellite and drone imagery, LiDAR, RGB, multispectral, hyperspectral, thermal and RGB-D sensors, photogrammetry and 3D reconstruction, integrating these data with GIS, machine learning, computer vision and Python/R workflows.
We develop aerial-robotics, path-planning, sensor-fusion and decision-support approaches for repeatable, high-resolution monitoring. Our experience spans precision agriculture, forestry, land management, environmental risk monitoring and restoration-oriented applications. We can design, develop, and manufacture new UAV models with fully customizable integrated sensors.

We am looking to join a strong BiodivFuture consortium, particularly under Themes A and B, as a technology partner for multi-scale observation of novel ecosystems and their trajectories.
We can lead or contribute to work packages on UAV and satellite Earth observation, LiDAR/photogrammetric 3D mapping, multispectral-hyperspectral-thermal sensing, AI/computer vision, sensor fusion, field campaigns and spatial decision-support systems.
We am particularly interested in projects requiring robust and repeatable indicators of vegetation structure, ecosystem condition, disturbance and recovery, and land-use- or climate-driven trajectories, including Mediterranean landscapes, agroecosystem-forest interfaces and restoration contexts.
Our role would complement ecology, conservation and social-science partners by providing high-resolution data acquisition, automated analysis and scalable monitoring workflows connecting field measurements with UAV and satellite observations. We am open to leading a technical WP or task and contributing actively to proposal design.
