for a partner (for my project)
TECPAR (Instituto de Tecnologia do Paraná; Brazilian tax ID/CNPJ 77.964.393/0001-88) is a public science and technology institute owned by the State of Paraná, Brazil, with private-law legal personality. It conducts applied research, technological development, innovation, and conformity assessment. Through Tecpar Certificação, it operates a program for validating and verifying greenhouse gas inventories and carbon projects, including methodological reviews, documentary assessments, field visits, and the recalculation of reported results. We are interested in contributing this expertise to research connecting carbon certification with biodiversity outcomes in novel ecosystems. Potential contributions include auditable indicators, data quality, traceability, and validation approaches for carbon and biodiversity evidence. We seek complementary ecological and socio-economic expertise to jointly develop the research design. Core skills: Carbon certification, greenhouse gas verification, conformity assessment, technological innovation.

We seek partners to co-develop a BiodivFuture proposal on carbon certification and biodiversity outcomes in novel ecosystems. The project will test carbon interventions against biodiversity outcomes and benefit-sharing, comparing Brazilian and international sites while developing monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV) approaches that integrate carbon, biodiversity, and social safeguards. Study sites must demonstrate the ecological novelty required by the call. We are looking for expertise in ecology, carbon cycling, remote sensing, scenario modeling, and environmental economics, alongside an eligible scientific coordinator. We aim to recruit partners in at least three countries outside Brazil, including at least two different participating EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries. The consortium must include three participating countries and three distinct funders. Each applicant must satisfy its own national funding rules; TECPAR's participation and funding remain subject to institutional approval and confirmation of Fundação Araucária eligibility. Expected outputs will support biodiversity-sensitive carbon certification.
No conference attendance is confirmed for this entry. TECPAR welcomes online meetings with prospective partners and eligible coordinators to discuss scientific scope, complementary expertise, funding eligibility and consortium development.
