I am a forest ecologist specializing in the use of remote sensing data for forest biodiversity assessment, ecosystem monitoring, and disturbance analysis. My expertise includes optical imagery and LiDAR data acquired from satellite, airborne, and UAV platforms. My work spans multiple spatial scales, from local studies in Alpine forest ecosystems to regional and global analyses.
I also have experience in the development of EU project proposals and in European research collaborations, having recently secured funding for two projects: one under Biodiversa+ and one under the Interreg programme. Within this Biodiversa+ call, I can contribute to the development of remote sensing approaches for forest characterization, biodiversity indicators, disturbance assessment, multiscale ecosystem monitoring, and the integration of field observations with Earth observation data.

Remote Sensing
I am interested in joining a BiodivFuture consortium investigating how novel forest ecosystems emerge and change under climate, land use and disturbance pressures. I can contribute with the use of optical and LiDAR remote sensing data (from different vectors), biodiversity and structural heterogeneity indicators, disturbance mapping, and monitoring of future trajectories. My work spans Alpine case studies and global analyses, and I bring experience from successful Biodiversa+ and Interreg proposals.
