My main research interest focuses on the structure and functioning of food webs. More specifically, I investigate how the food web position and the functional traits of trophic groups determine their role within the food web. I am particularly interested in how interaction network structure affects community resistance and resilience, and how functional groups' individual contributions to community resistance depend on their network position. I have experience in topological network analysis (mainly food webs, but also bipartite networks or correlation networks), mesocosm experiments and plant ecology.

I am looking for a project to join where my expertise in network analysis (i.e., analysing the structure of food webs, pollinator-plant networks, host-parasite networks, or habitat networks) can help explain patterns and trends in how climate change or human pressure changes ecosystems. I am particularly interested in projects that aim to investigate the resistance and resilience of communities from a food web or network perspective.
