Human geographer and sustainability researcher examining how environmental conditions, inequality and collective life are experienced bodily and emotionally. Current MSCA COFUND Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Southern Denmark, researching human-nature relations in changing and novel ecosystems, relational well-being, and environmental justice through intersectional analysis. Experienced in long-term independent fieldwork and in ethnographic, participatory and sensory methods, including mental mapping, future scenario building workshops, and visual and participatory arts-based workshops. Experienced in citizen science and stakeholder engagement with communities, practitioners and public authorities, and in translating research into policy, including published policy recommendations developed during a research visit at the United Nations University (UNU).

I am interested in joining a consortium working on aquatic novel ecosystems, such as restored, rewilded or human-altered lakes, wetlands and rivers, that seeks to integrate the social dimensions of ecosystem change into its research. I can lead or contribute to a work package on the social and cultural impacts of novel ecosystems for local communities; questions of justice, examined through an intersectional lens, around who benefits, who bears the costs, and whose knowledges and values shape decisions; and human and more-than-human relations, including how people perceive, value and live with emerging species assemblages. I bring participatory and arts-based methods, such as mental mapping and future scenario workshops, to engage stakeholders and co-produce knowledge alongside ecological research.
