I am a behavioural and evolutionary ecologist with expertise in the ecological and evolutionary processes shaping sociality and reproductive biology of animals (particularly birds). My projects have a link to conservation biology, in addressing how aspects of habitat fragmentation, bush encroachment, and climate change affect individual behaviour, social behaviour, reproductive success and predator-prey dynamics. I have a lot of experience monitoring wild populations, but also in phylogenetic modelling, and ecosystem monitoring. I am running a large-scale ornithological field study in the savanna of Eswatini.
