Molecular and population genetics of honey bees (Apis mellifera), with expertise in genetic diversity, molecular markers, immune-related genes and genetic susceptibility to viral pathogens. Experience in PCR, PCR-RFLP, gene expression and miRNA analysis, and genetic characterization of honey bee populations. Interested in interdisciplinary research linking pollinator genetic diversity and resilience with environmental change, biodiversity and ecosystem functioning.

We are interested in joining an interdisciplinary consortium working on biodiversity, ecosystem change and resilience, particularly in relation to pollinators and novel ecosystems. Our team can contribute expertise in honey bee (Apis mellifera) population and molecular genetics, including genetic diversity, immune-related genetic markers and susceptibility to viral pathogens. We are particularly interested in projects investigating how environmental and landscape changes influence pollinator genetic diversity, adaptation, health and resilience.

We are looking to join a consortium led by an experienced research group, where our expertise could complement broader ecological, biodiversity or environmental research approaches.
