Research focus: My research focus is on nutrients, and understanding the cycling among plants, soil and microbes in interaction, in managed and natural ecosystems. Soil biogeochemistry responds to ecosystem disturbance such as wildfire, or to the climate change factors warming, drought and elevated atmospheric CO2 with a complex of processes. By using stable isotope tracing we can determine changes in organism activity by measuring nitrogen uptake in plants (IRMS isoprime visION). By using pool dilution technique with 15N we will in our laboratory determine production rates of amino acids, ammonium and nitrate, we also specialize on the tracegas N2O (iso FLOW GHG). Also, soil respiratory coefficient with our new respirometer, soil respiration in the field and general soil analysis for TOC, TON and various elements (ICP) helps us investigate the biological and biogeochemical changes in soil at experiments with environmental factors.

I have a new capacity in the laboratory as I recently started up the stable isotope laboratory
