I am looking for a project to join
I am an Assistant Professor at Aarhus University specialising in life cycle assessment (LCA), GIS and spatial environmental modelling of agricultural systems. My expertise includes spatially differentiated analysis, LCA of agricultural systems and food products, landscape- and catchment-scale modelling, and assessment of agricultural nutrient loads and their impacts on freshwater and aquatic environments. My research addresses soil quality, soil biodiversity, above-ground biodiversity, nutrient cycling, eutrophication and ecosystem services across farm, landscape, catchment and product-system scales. I can contribute GIS-based spatial analysis, prospective LCA, scenario modelling, uncertainty analysis and assessment of environmental trade-offs and burden shifting. For BiodivFuture, I am interested in how climate change, land-use transitions, nutrient pressures and agricultural management drive changes in soil and above-ground biodiversity, ecosystem functioning and the future trajectories of novel agroecosystems and connected aquatic ecosystems.

I am interested in joining an interdisciplinary BiodivFuture consortium addressing Theme B—Pathways to novel ecosystems—and/or Theme A—Novel ecosystem functioning. I am particularly interested in agricultural landscapes and connected freshwater ecosystems undergoing persistent change due to climate change, land-use transitions, nutrient pressures and new management practices. I can lead or contribute to a work package combining spatially differentiated life cycle assessment, GIS, landscape- and catchment-scale modelling, and future scenario analysis. My contribution can connect changes in soil quality, soil and above-ground biodiversity, nutrient cycling and ecosystem functioning with downstream eutrophication impacts and wider environmental trade-offs. I am especially interested in integrating spatial biodiversity and ecosystem indicators into LCA to identify synergies, burden shifting and context-specific outcomes across farm, landscape, catchment and product-system scales. I would complement partners working on ecological field measurements, biodiversity monitoring, socio-economic analysis, governance and stakeholder engagement.

I expect to attend the SETAC Europe Annual Meeting and the EGU General Assembly in 2027. I am also available for online matchmaking and consortium-development meetings.
