Navid Bayati received his M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, in 2017. Since 2019, he has been involved in research with Loughborough University, UK. He graduated with a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems) from the Department of Energy Technology, Aalborg University, Denmark, in November 2020. Then, he was involved as a Postdoctoral researcher at the University of Southern Denmark, since March 2021, on the protection of Microgrids by dSPACE and OPAL-RT. He started his Assistant Professorship in 2022 in power system protection at the University of Southern Denmark. He is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Southern Denmark on power systems. His research interests are power system protection, DC Microgrid, and fault detection and location of renewable energy resource-based systems. He was a recipient of the top 1% reviewer in the world in 2019.
