My primary research interests focus on the evaluation of external soil amendments—such as compost, digestate, bioash, biochar, and treated wastewater—derived from various by-products. I investigate their quality, nutrient recovery potential, and contamination risks, with a strong emphasis on microplastics research. My work also explores the impact of these amendments on soil chemical properties, microbial activity, and plant productivity.

I am looking to join a consortium working on topics related to my research background. My expertise focuses on soil amendments—including compost, digestate, bioash, biochar, and treated wastewater—derived from various organic and industrial by-products. My research investigates their quality, nutrient recovery potential, and contamination risks, with a particular emphasis on microplastics in soils and organic amendments. I am particularly interested in projects exploring the interactions between organic soil amendments, soil biodiversity, microbial communities, and ecosystem services. My laboratory offers expertise in the extraction, characterization, and quantification of microplastics using FTIR, Raman microscopy, pyrolysis-GC/MS, and complementary analytical techniques such as ICP-OES, as well as soil physicochemical analyses.
