I work at the interface of biodiversity, development, equity and policy impact. My expertise includes ecosystem restoration, nature-based solutions, forest and land-use governance, sustainable livelihoods, food systems, poverty and social vulnerability, and the design of knowledge-to-policy processes.

I am Principal Specialist, Nature, People and Development at UNEP-WCMC, based in Cambridge, UK, with experience working globally with research institutions, governments, UN bodies and civil society partners. I bring particular expertise in stakeholder engagement, theory of change, policy and institutional analysis, equity and justice framing, and translating interdisciplinary evidence into actionable recommendations for decision-makers.

For BiodivFuture, I am especially interested in the socio-economic, governance and equity implications of novel ecosystems, including who benefits, who bears risks, and how future pathways can support just, nature-positive and policy-relevant transformation.

I am looking for a project to join, particularly consortia addressing Theme C on biodiversity benefits and equity in the context of novel ecosystems, with possible links to Theme A and Theme B.

I would be interested in projects examining the socio-ecological consequences of novel ecosystems, including implications for livelihoods, food security, poverty and social vulnerability, equity, wellbeing, governance, and policy. I can contribute to the design of inter- and transdisciplinary research, stakeholder engagement, theory of change, policy and institutional analysis, impact pathways, and the translation of research findings into actionable outputs for decision-makers.

I would be particularly interested in partnerships combining ecological, modelling or scenario-based expertise with social science, policy and development perspectives. Relevant contexts could include ecosystem restoration, land-use change, rural landscapes, forests, agroecological transitions, coastal or freshwater systems, and nature-positive development pathways.
