Anemo Robotics is a Danish marine technology company. We build autonomous underwater camera systems for long term biodiversity monitoring, paired with an AI platform that turns footage into biodiversity data: species detection, abundance and biomass estimation. Our monitoring is continuous, noninvasive and camera based, designed to run year round on fixed marine infrastructure, and to replace or supplement vessel based trawl and grab surveys with a lower cost per data point and no fish mortality.
What we bring to a consortium: underwater imaging hardware engineered for long deployments on offshore structures, moorings and the seabed; computer vision models for automated species identification, counting and size or biomass estimation from video and stills; and structured, regulator ready biodiversity datasets suitable for baseline, impact and restoration monitoring.
We already work with offshore wind and marine clients. In a research project we are the observation and data layer that ecology teams plug into, contributing the field measurement method and the AI analysis pipeline rather than the academic lead.

We want to join a BiodivFuture consortium as the biodiversity monitoring partner, ideally under Theme A on novel ecosystem functioning. Offshore wind farms and other artificial marine structures are textbook novel ecosystems: they convert soft sediment into hard substrate that gets colonised by new community assemblages, including non native species, reshaping local food webs and ecosystem functioning. Studying how these systems assemble, function and change over time needs sustained observation that vessel campaigns cannot provide.
We can supply the empirical time series behind questions on novel ecosystem functioning, biodiversity gains from nature inclusive design, and the spread of non native species.
We offer a mature, deployable observation method and an AI data pipeline, and we are glad to sit as a smaller technology partner supporting an academic lead. We are based in Denmark
