I am looking for a project to join
My expertise is in Earth observation, hydroclimatic extremes, land–atmosphere interactions, and ecosystem responses to climate change. My research combines multi-source satellite observations, land-surface modelling, and machine learning to quantify soil moisture, evapotranspiration, water and energy fluxes, vegetation productivity, and compound drought–heat extremes. I am particularly interested in how changing water and energy fluxes affect ecosystem functioning, resilience, and the emergence of novel ecosystem states.
Keywords: remote sensing; climate extremes; land–atmosphere interactions; ecosystem functioning and resilience; machine learning.

I am interested in joining a BiodivFuture consortium as a partner contributing expertise in Earth observation, hydroclimatic extremes, land–atmosphere interactions, and large-scale modelling of water and energy fluxes. My main interest is to understand how compound drought, heat, soil moisture deficits, and changes in evapotranspiration affect ecosystem functioning, resilience, and the development of novel ecosystem states.
I can contribute satellite-based indicators of soil moisture, evapotranspiration, land surface/soil heat extremes, vegetation productivity, and ecosystem stress, combined with land-surface modelling and machine learning approaches. This could support projects addressing novel ecosystem functioning, pathways towards novel ecosystems, or climate-driven changes in biodiversity and ecosystem services.
I am particularly interested in joining a consortium led by biodiversity, ecology, conservation, or socio-ecological researchers, where my contribution would strengthen the climate-extreme, remote-sensing, and modelling components of the project.
