for a project to join
I am a Professor of Horticulture with expertise in sustainable vegetable production systems, controlled environment agriculture (CEA), plant factories with artificial lighting (PFAL), greenhouse cultivation, hydroponics and soilless culture. My research focuses on plant responses to abiotic stresses (salinity, drought and heat), plant nutrition, biostimulants and biofertilizers (PGPR, vermicompost, seaweed extracts, chitosan, humic substances and amino acids), resource-efficient crop production, and climate-resilient horticulture.
I have extensive experience in international collaborative projects and welcome opportunities to join Biodiversa consortia related to biodiversity-friendly agriculture, sustainable food systems, ecosystem services, nature-based solutions, soil and rhizosphere biodiversity, sustainable water and nutrient management, circular bioeconomy, and innovative crop production technologies.

I am interested in joining a Biodiversa consortium to contribute my expertise in sustainable horticulture, controlled environment agriculture, hydroponics, plant nutrition, and plant responses to abiotic stresses. My research focuses on developing climate-resilient and resource-efficient crop production systems through the use of innovative cultivation technologies and biostimulants. I am particularly interested in collaborative projects addressing biodiversity-friendly agriculture, sustainable food systems, ecosystem services, and nature-based solutions. I can contribute to experimental design, greenhouse and plant factory experiments, physiological and nutritional analyses, and the dissemination of research outcomes.
Open to networking at Biodiversa, Horizon Europe, COST Action meetings, and international conferences related to sustainable agriculture, biodiversity, and horticultural sciences.
