My expertise is in hydrobiology, limnology and aquatic ecology, with a particular focus on phytoplankton ecology, cyanobacteria, freshwater ecosystems and aquatic pollution. My research mainly addresses microplastic contamination in aquatic environments, ecological monitoring of lakes and reservoirs, phytoplankton/cyanobacteria identification, and the assessment of environmental stressors in freshwater organisms.
I have experience in field sampling, microscopic identification of planktonic organisms, freshwater ecosystem assessment, microplastic extraction and characterization, and ecotoxicological approaches using aquatic model organisms such as Daphnia magna. My recent work focuses on microplastic pollution in freshwater systems, microplastic–metal interactions, and the ecological risks associated with emerging contaminants.
am interested in joining this project because it is closely aligned with my research expertise in hydrobiology, limnology, phytoplankton ecology, cyanobacteria and freshwater ecosystem monitoring. I am particularly interested in projects focusing on the detection, monitoring and ecological assessment of cyanobacterial blooms, as these issues are becoming increasingly important for water quality, ecosystem health and public safety.
I would like to contribute my experience in freshwater sampling, microscopic identification of planktonic organisms, cyanobacteria/phytoplankton assessment, and the evaluation of aquatic pollution and environmental stressors. I am also interested in interdisciplinary approaches that combine traditional ecological methods with new monitoring tools, image-based analysis, artificial intelligence or early-warning systems.
Joining this project would allow me to collaborate with researchers working on complementary methods and to contribute to the development of practical, science-based solutions for monitoring and managing freshwater ecosystems.
