I am looking for a project to join
we work on several aspects of seagrasses, in particular working on Halophila stipulacae and Cymadocae nodosa. We are experts on mapping, studying thermal stress, restoration and effects of climate change.
We offer access to the red sea which is the native habitat of Halophila - which is invasive in the Mediterranean Sea, giving a great opportunity to compare between invasive and native populations.
we also working on restoration of Cymadocae nodosa and have found interesting populations in the eastern Med giving a possibility to work on restoration in deep populations

Marine Biology
GENBIOCYM - unlike the rest of the Mediterranean Sea, where Cymadocoae nodosa is found in relatively shallow depths, we have recently found these plants growing along the Israeli Mediterranean coast but very deep - they only start at 12-15 m, and go down to at least 20m. Also the water temperature is higher here. Taken together, the newly found populations could provide a unique source of a donor population since they are adapted to rather extreme conditions
seagrass, restoration, population genetics, climate change, omics
