I am a lecturer at Málaga University holding a PhD on Plant Biology. My research background mainly focused on the conservation of germplasm from endangered plant species although in recent years, without leaving this field behind, I have expanded my work towards more applied approaches related to ecosystem restoration and sustainable land use. I have trained in agroforestry systems and gained practical experience in the field, particularly in projects involving native species and biodiversity enhancement. I am also very interested in Nature-based Solutions, which I have explored through the use of stranded biomass from the invasive alga Rugulopteryx okamurae along the Strait of Gibraltar, transforming it into liquid biofertilizer. My profile brings together scientific research and on-the-ground experience, and I am eager to contribute to European projects that connect biodiversity conservation with practical, regenerative solutions.

I am looking to join an agroforestry project that focuses on the use of native Mediterranean species. My main interests include the recovery of underutilized endemic plants, increasing crop biodiversity, expanding the use of tree and legume species to enhance CO₂ sequestration and natural nitrogen fixation, and incorporating mycorrhizal fungi into agroecosystems. I have practical experience in agroforestry systems, particularly through work carried out in Senegal, and I am eager to contribute this background to a multidisciplinary team working towards sustainable land use and climate resilience.
