I am an Associate Professor at the Università Politecnica delle Marche (Italy), with solid expertise in Apoidea monitoring, using insects as bioindicators, soil fauna, Apoidea restoration and conservation, Apis mellifera, insect morphology.
Entomology
I am seeking to join a project focused on environmental issues, where I can contribute my expertise in entomology. I have experience in Apoidea surveying and monitoring, in habitat restoration and conservation for wild bees, in the use of insects for biomonitoring purposes, and in the study of the Soil Biological Quality index (QBS-ar) - topics that are highly relevant in projects aimed at the restoration of ecosystem functioning, integrity, and connectivity. Moreover, I possess a strong background in insect morphology. I currently work near one of the most ecologically diverse areas in Italy, both terrestrial and marine: the Conero Regional Park, known for the largely undisturbed nature of Mount Conero, the coastal wetland areas, and the adjacent marine ecosystems, which therefore makes it well suited for the project.
