I am a structural biologist interested in plant metabolism as well as various aspects of plant-microbe interactions. My main research focus concerns pathways of polyamine and amino acid production in plant species. I've got an experience in cloning, recombinant protein production and purification. In my work, I use structural biology methods (crystallography, cryo-EM, SAXS) to determine structure-function relationship of macromolecules and to investigate their mechanism of action or the mode of their inhibition. The area of my interest falls into plant stress managment, development of novel herbicides, tackling of the alien invasive species, and the interactions of plants with endophytes.
The other point of my interest falls into enzymatic degratation of waste products, bioconversion of biomass, and bioremediation.
