My major research interests include land use planning, land use allocation and optimization, landscape planning, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Public Participation GIS, evaluation, heuristic algorithms, urban cellular automata, etc. In recent years I have been working on ecosystem services evaluation and green infrastructure planning. These are the topics that I would like to develop in this call. I have been involved in the green infrastructure planning of Galicia (region in NW of Spain) working at the regional ministry. Subsequently my research group delved in planning of multifunctional areas and ecological networks.
