Dana Baricová is director of Research - Innovation and Technological Centre. In the 1997 graduated university study in the field of Metallurgy and in 2002 received a PhD degree. She has graduated in 2009 as associated professor at Faculty of materials, metallurgy and recycling at Technical University of Košice. In 2020 she graduates MBA study on Cambridge business school. Her area of interests is focused on study ironmaking and steelmaking processes, modelling of processes, especially on slag forming processes and ecological aspect of ironmaking and steelmaking processes, decarbonization and new technologies. During her professional career she has won several important awards such as: Technologist of the Year 2002, Award of the Rector Technical University of Kosice 2003, Honourable mention of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic 2009, Personality Faculty of Materials, Metallurgy and Recycling of the year 2018. She is the author of over 130 research papers, 6 books. He is currently focusing on the decarbonization of processes. As part of his research activities, he solves the issue of old ecological burdens. Projects from 2023 to 2024: 1. Processing and Utilization of Polymetallic Waste from the Nižná Slaná Sludge Pond 2. Award of the slag dump from the production of ferroalloys in Istebné 3. Comparison of Optimal Production of Hematite and Magnetite Concentrates from Rudomain Ore from the Point of View of Downstream Technological Processes Publications 2023

The project builds on inter-institutional cooperation on biodiversity of natural ecosystems in industrial areas and the extension of competences in the field of raw material recovery will also increase the level of education in the field of materials recycling and enable the development of joint international research and education in this field. A Plant Resource and Risk Assessment Strategy for industrial areas will be developed. The results and conclusions of the project will be implemented among residents and public institutions.
