Project Description:

This project highlights Bolu's rich biodiversity, focusing on medicinal and endemic plants. Our goals are to:

Assess ecosystem services provided by these species, such as carbon sequestration, local climate regulation, and socio-economic benefits for communities.
Develop nature-based solutions to restore degraded ecosystems using local biodiversity.
Promote sustainable land use and biodiversity conservation by actively engaging with local stakeholders and communities.
Establish a botanical garden in partnership with Neuss Municipality, Germany, as part of Landesgartenschau Neuss 2026. This garden will serve as a center for education, conservation, and biodiversity promotion.
Why We Are Seeking a Partner

We aim to collaborate with partners who can enhance the project’s expertise and impact by:

Providing knowledge in biodiversity and ecosystem services, especially in tropical regions and community-based conservation, to enrich our approach.
Exploring economic resilience through biodiversity, particularly with medicinal and aromatic plants.
Creating broader regional and global impact through shared insights and methods.
We believe this collaboration will greatly enhance the project’s scientific and social impact and look forward to discussing opportunities with potential partners.
