Endophytes; soil and plant microbiome. Plant nutrition and plant responses to abiotic stress. Development of sustainable fertilizers (nutrient protection against losses, bioestimulants, biofertilizers).
Additional expertise: soil chemistry, revalorization of organic by products.
We are interested in the following topic: the impact of ancient/modern cultivars on the biodiversity and functionality of the plant/soil microbiome. We have experience in plant and soil microbiome metagnomic studies, as well as in the characterization of those microorganisms according to plant growth promoting (PGP) traits. We can also conduct plant/soil/microorganisms experiments under controlled conditions (plant growth chambers, R&D greenhouses) to test the PGP capacity of the extracted microorganisms, along with the posibility to assess plant growth and more in depth biochemical/molecular markers.
