I continued long-term researches on broilers, layers and broiler breeders with specific reference to the implications of feed structure, dietary fat and fibre profile on the gut health, productive performance and product quality. I have also dedicated some of my research interest on the dietary effects of antibiotic alternative additive programs including probiotics, prebiotics, enzymes, herbal additives and clay minerals in the conventional and free-range poultry rearing systems. Recently, I have been widening my field of interest to the potential nutritional strategies those modulating performance, gut health and immune response in broiler chickens subjected to experimental coccidiosis infections or coccidiosis vaccine challenges. My research ambition is to understand the disturbances of digestive system/processes in the chickens under the coccidiosis vaccine challenge and apply this experimentation to overcome the hesitations in using vaccines, ultimately aiming to replace traditional coccidiosis control programs (chemicals and polyether ionophore antibiotics) with live-attenuated coccidiosis vaccines for sustainable and environmentally friendly poultry production without residue and resistant hazards.
