Mediterranean Fisheries Research Production and Training Institute (MEDFRI) is a public research institute that carries out its activities under the auspices of the General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies (TAGEM), Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. Its vision is to produce and disseminate knowledge and technology with a responsible and sustainable management of surface waters and fisheries resources and develop models for sustainable use of fisheries and aquatic biodiversity.
Ichthyology
We are looking for a consortium on a few topics for our few teams which: 1. ex-situ conservation of endemic and/or endangered freshwater fish species especially related to Goals 4, 9, 12, 20, and 21 of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. 2. monitoring and managing the invasive alien species in the Mediterranean Sea, including pufferfish, lionfish, and jellyfish, under climate change impact.
