I have recently completed my Ph.D. in Marine and Freshwater Resources Management at Istanbul University, focusing on eDNA metabarcoding, and bioinformatics. My research expertise encompasses aquatic biodiversity assessment, conservation genetics, and the application of bioinformatics tools for processing large eDNA datasets. My recent projects include a Rufford Foundation-funded initiative to implement DNA-based biomonitoring in the Golden Horn Estuary, and I have been actively involved in field sampling expeditions across the Sea of Marmara, İstanbul, Turkey. My key skills include Python-based bioinformatics tools, such as APSCALE and Taxon Table Tools, alongside advanced wet-lab techniques.
