The National Institute for Research and Development in Environmental Protection Bucharest (INCDPM), with over 60 years R&D experience in environmental protection, offers its expertise in environmental assessment, contaminated site remediation, management and recycling of waste, analyzing the impact of climate change and monitoring of environmental factors. INCDPM is interested in participating in this call with other partners by providing research activities that include protection, restoration and promotion of the sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainable soil management, combating desertification, stopping soil degradation, restoring soil quality. Contact e-mails: incdpm@incdpm.ro and ioana.chiulan@incdpm.ro
The team of Environmental Quality Assessment and Impact Analysis Department is highly specialized in soil and water quality assessment. We have the required infrastructure and expertise to conduct research activities such as: soil physico-chemical characterization (pH, moisture, temperature, organic carbon, nitrogen content, and nutrient levels in different soils, electrical conductivity), GHG measurements, etc. We can conduct pot experiments with different mulching materials, field measurements and accurate laboratory analysis.

My team is interested to join a project involving studies on biodiversity preservation in soils affected by erosion, salinization, acidification, and heavy metal contamination. Of particular interests are the soils susceptible to desertification.
