I am an environmental microbiologist and my research field involves the study of the plant microbiome, focusing on plant-beneficial bacteria interaction for growth promotion under abiotic stress like drought and salinity and under xenobiotic pollution (polychlorinated biphenyls, petroleum hydrocarbons) for soil rhizoremediation. I work with the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana and with crops like sunflower, tomato, etc I can contribute with well characteized bacterial strains to improve plant resistance to the mentioned abiotic stresses.
Microbiology
I would like to join a project dealing with soil/plant biodiversity, contributing with the analysis of the microbiome through metataxonomic analysis or culturomics-based approach
