We're one of the teams behind the development of algorithms for remote sensing of vegetation datasets, supporting the Copernicus Land Monitoring Service (https://www.copernicus.eu/en/news/news/observer-clms-releases-hr-vpp-product-assess-ecosystems-and-biodiversity). I am pleased to contribute to and analyze various remote sensing datasets of Essential Biodiversity Variables (EBVs) on a pan-European scale (10 m resolution) or a global scale (300 m resolution, e.g., https://lund-eo.projects.earthengine.app/view/s3-pheno2023), using novel ESA satellites. Our work focuses on assessing vegetation functional biodiversity in relation to ecosystem resilience under climate extremes and human influences.
