My research is centred on the study of toxic microalgae, particularly dinoflagellates, with a focus on their taxonomy and ecology. I am especially interested in using molecular tools, such as metabarcoding and other genetic techniques, to explore the diversity and ecological roles of these organisms. A key aspect of my expertise lies in the study of resting stages of microalgae, which play a crucial role in their life cycles and bloom dynamics.

I would be interesting in joining projects on biodiversity and water quality, climate change and biodiversity resilience, eutrophication, invasive species.
