Currently a Research Professor at High Institute of Marine Fisheries in Agadir, specializing in Environment, water quality monitoring, marine fisheries, fisheries dynamics assessment, and marine biodiversity conservation. Formerly a fishing officer from 2003 to 2009 and officer of marine administration from 2010 to 2022, gaining diverse experiences in Moroccan fisheries. Later pursued academic training focusing on the sustainable exploitation of fisheries resources and aquaculture. Transitioned to officer of marine administration role at the Tangier regional vessel traffic service, actively engaging in various programs including artisanal and coastal fisheries, evaluating marine resource stocks, and studying marine ecosystem dynamics.
Research lines:
-Toxicity of pollutants in marine organisms: towards scientifically sound marine Environmental Quality Criteria.
-Design "in situ" and laboratory bioassays, for assessing and monitoring pollution in coastal ecosystems. The biological models used include the microalga Isochrysis galbana, and early stages of mollusks, crustaceans, echinoderms and fishes.
