We’re a group with the following expertise: 1.ex-situ and in-situ cultivation techniques for brown algal forest restoration 2.in-situ protection and enhancement of natural recruitment, ex-situ maintenance of juveniles for restoration of Pinna nobilis 3.ocean modelling for e.g. seagrass seed transport, MPA connectivity and bottom stress at chosen locations 4.restoration of seagrass meadows, particularly of Posidonia oceanica. -Relevant projects: • Slovenian national research project “Factors affecting Adriatic brown algal forests and solutions for habitat restoration” (J1-1702) • LIFE PINNA Conservation and re-stocking of the Pinna nobilis in the western Mediterranean and Adriatic sea (LIFE20 NAT/IT/001122) • DE-COMB (ARRS, J7 2599) "Decay of an invasive ctenophore blooms as a perturbation to the coastal marine microbial community - from molecules to ecosystem - an integrated interdisciplinary approach" -Relevant publications: Orlando-Bonaca, M. et al. We’re interested in joining projects for the call “BiodivNBS, THEME B: Nature-Based Solutions mitigating anthropogenic drivers of biodiversity loss”. We are searching proposals dealing with the marine environment, with a particular focused on brown forest and seagrasses restoration, Pinna nobilis monitoring and re-stocking, ocean modeling and predictions.

We are not planning to be part of any more conferences this month so feel free to contact us via email.
