My PhD research focused on envisioning a conservation psychology that is relevant and effective in the South African and larger African contexts. It focused primarily on framing conservation work with justice and engaging with youth through capacity building to improve representation and diversity in the conservation sector. I primarily work with qualitative methods, including photovoice and storytelling, amongst others. My other research interests include co-existence, community engagement, and storytelling related to the environment/natural world.
Environmental Psychology
I am looking to join several projects related to 1) co-existence of people and wildlife (including human-wildlife conflict), 2) recording indigenous knowledge systems, and 3) designing, implementing, and evaluating environmental outreaches and initiatives
