DU provides quality higher education and research in areas of Biology, Environmental Sciences, Economy, Sociology, Physics, Psychology, Education, Art, Literary Science, Linguistics and History. DU successfully runs the Institute of Life Sciences and Technology (ILST), where the main scientific directions are biological diversity, water and forest biological resources, ecology, aquaculture, genetics, and cell biology. DU has departments of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts, which enables an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approach in both carrying out large-scale international projects as well as promoting individual scientific initiatives.
