Currently a Professor at Hassan II University in Casablanca, specializing in marine bioecology, fisheries dynamics assessment, and marine biodiversity conservation. Formerly a fishing officer from 2003 to 2011, gaining diverse experiences in Moroccan fisheries. Later pursued academic training focusing on sustainable exploitation of fisheries resources and aquaculture. Transitioned to a fisheries biologist role in 2018 at the Nador regional center of the National Institute of Fisheries Research (INRH), actively engaging in various programs including artisanal and coastal fisheries, evaluating marine resource stocks, and studying marine ecosystem dynamics. Actively contributed to specialized working groups under the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (CGPM) and supervised key projects like Bycatch and MAVA Depredation, addressing accidental capture reduction and complex cetacean-fishing activity interactions.
