A medical geographer with over 20 years of experience stuyding vector-borne and zoonotic diseases as human-environment interactions, today interested to put this to use in the context of risk/benefits health trade offs when studying land systems in general and nature-based solutions in particular. Vanwambeke et al., 2019, https://doi.org/10.1016/j.cosust.2019.05.005 Lambin et al., 2010, https://doi.org/10.1186/1476-072X-9-54
Considering land must serve multiple purposes and often others than maintaining health, how can be factor health among other criteria? Some land management strategies may foster health risk, how can such risks be dealt with? (eg forest management vs tick-borne diseases; city greening vs. mosquitoes,...)
spatial epidemiology, modelling, disease ecology, vector-borne diseases, zoonotic diseases, medical geography, human-environment interaction, green and health
