The research program of the Institute of Horticulture - National Research Institute covers all issues related to horticultural production. It concerns research on the biological basis of fruit, vegetable and ornamental plant production, biotechnology, genetics and creative breeding of horticultural plants, agricultural technology, phytopathology, nursery and protection of genetic resources of fruit, vegetable and ornamental plants, irrigation of plants, cultivation of edible mushrooms, fruit processing and storage and vegetables, food safety, agroengineering, economics and marketing. The Institute of Horticulture has experimental fields, experimental orchards, greenhouses and everything needed to carry out the various experiments and analyses.
