Veterinary virologist with 10 year experience in the area of Avian Influenza (AI) vaccinology, development of DIVA vaccination strategies using conventional and molecularly engineered techniques, antigenic characterization of AI viruses and selection of candidate virus vaccines, pathogenesis and vaccine efficacy studies in avian and mammalian models. Fifteen-year experience on diagnosis of viral animal diseases with focus on swine influenza diagnostics and research. Proven record of coordinating research grants, designing and conducting experiments and management of animal facility. Experience in management a diagnostic veterinary virology laboratory and veterinary biobanks.
