I develop and formulate in models conceptual ideas on the conservation of biodiversity (mainly trhough spatial tools like protected areas) in optimized cost-effective approaches.
I deal mainly with operations research model and mathematical optimization such to maximize ecological, environmental and socioeconomic returns while minimizing costs, risks or uncertainties.
Although there are a couple of widely used software to handle spatial conservation problems, in many situtations dedicated approaches are needed such to return the full optimal results.
I am mostly focused on the cahallenges brought out by cçimate change and dynamic environments and land use policies.

I would like to join a project focused on the protection of biodiversity or ecosystems services designed such to prioritize optomized decisions/policies.
The integration of issues like climate change impacts and land use dynamics, the unstable balance between ecological benefits, ecosystem services, socioenomic gains and problems related with risk and robust ecological results would be great challenges to tackle on.
