I have large experience in plankton biodiversity and biogeochemistry. The overall aim of my research is to understand the impact of environmental changes (e.g. CO2 and temperature) on plankton diversity and biogeochemical cycles. To reach this goal I combine observations (e.g. research cruises and sensors), optical toolsets (e.g. remote sensing), experimentation (e.g. incubation experiments), data meta-analysis (e.g. statistical models) and numerical modelling (e.g. ocean models), thereby joining skills from a variety of research disciplines.
