My past research interests are the environment of insect vectors of diseases, especially Anopheles mosquitoes in West Africa. My work focuses on characterizing residual malaria transmission (species, behaviours, resistance mechanisms...), studying the determinants (environment, selection pressures...) of behavioural and physiological resistances in mosquito vectors and modelling the interactions between resistances and malaria transmission.
I would like to develop researches on the determinants of the diversity / richness of mosquitoes in tropical regions (mostly Africa) and their links with disease epidemiology/risks.
My lab is involve in strong collaborations with research institutes in Sénégal, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire and Mauritania in West-Africa.
