I am looking for a project to join
Computer scientist, working on biodiversity informatics and developing software for macroecology and biogeography for more than 10 years. Main developer of Modestr, a free software that integrates biodiversity, environmental, GIS and genetic data, with many tools for analysing ecological niches, spatial and environmental overlaps, biogeographic distributions, SDM, inventories completeness, link distribution data with phylogenetics, evolution of lineages, effects of climate change, human impact, and conservation decision-making. Most of my research works implied working with large biodiversity datasets, SDMs, developing biogeographic tools, etc (see https://orcid.org/0000-0002-7400-2151 ).
Skilled in software development for biodiversity and in efficient data managing, I recently expanded Modestr capabilities to work with very large datasets (i.e. quite all GBIF data), allowing new possibilities in the analysis of biodiversity, macroecological and biogeographic patterns.

Working on biodiversity informatics, main developer of Modestr, a free software that integrates biodiversity, environmental, GIS and genetic data, with many tools for analysing ecological niches, spatial and environmental overlaps, biogeographic distributions, SDM, inventories completeness, link distribution data with phylogenetics, evolution of lineages, effects of climate change, human impact, and conservation decision-making. All this analytical power, combined with the ability to efficiently manage very large datasets, and a friendly interface, provide a tool that can push forward the boundaries of knowledge of biodiversity. Currently Modestr is able to manage databases of millions of species an billions of records (ej: quite all GBIF records). It can performs macroecological and biogeographic analyses at very large scales and for higher taxonomic groups. GBIF and BOLD data importation are already integrated, but other sources can be used.
As main developer, I can provide full expertise on the usage of Modestr, direct data processing tasks, and I am willing to develop new features that may be required for specific projects, or integrations with other software tools.
