My main area of interest is microbial biodiversity of different environments. The main research methods used in my research are: NGS sequencing (metataxonomics) of bacteria and fungi with detailed bioinformatics analysis, phenotypic analysis, molecular biology methods (PCR, qPCR, gene expression analysis), BIOLOG microarray method, biochemical methods (enzyme activity determinations), statistical analysis. Currently, I am involved in an international project on antibiotic resistance (NGS, BIOLOG), a project on endophytic bacteria of honeydew plants, biodiversity of soil microorganisms of forest environments, and the influence of microorganisms on the process of biological weathering.

I would like to join a project on the broad biodiversity of different environments. Combining microbiology with other sciences can yield an interdisciplinary project that has a better chance of a positive evaluation by the committee.
