Project description : We are looking for projects in which it is of interest, to research on nature´s (positive/negative) contribution on human health and wellbeing. Hence it should be of intrest to use a broad definition of "environment/nature/biodiversity" including the human species. We are interested in the complex interaction between humans (incl. his individual life styles and behavioral patterns) with natural or anthropogenic influenced ecosystems and as well with socioecological systems.
At the interface between nature and humans we investigating the environmental impact on health (health promotion, prevention and health protection) with descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods. For that we differenciate the environmental health questions to target groups (gender, age, social gradient etc.).
In context to BiodivERsA we are especially interested on research in the effects of nature/biodiversity on mental health as well as in research targeting the development of sustainable, healthy urban regions and landscapes.
Anyway, please don´t hesitate to get in contact in case your project idea don´t meet the aspects above.
